School of Pharmacy
School of Pharmacy
We train pharmaceutical professionals who will take on the role of IPW (interdisciplinary workforce) in the field.
Pharmacists are required to have the responsibility, knowledge and skills to handle medicines that affect people's lives.
Over the course of six years, students will learn a wide range of subjects from the basics of pharmacy to clinical pharmacy. Through multi-disciplinary collaborative education in the Faculty of School of Pharmacy, which takes advantage of the strengths of a comprehensive medical university, students will develop practical skills that can contribute to the medical field and produce reliable pharmacists.

Message from the Dean, School of Medicine
The Hyogo Medical University School of Pharmacy offers a unique education in a university hospital that practices team medicine. All students undergo hospital training in their fifth year at the university's new hospital, where they learn cutting-edge medical care.
In addition, we offer interdisciplinary, collaborative education across departmental boundaries for students from lower to upper grades, with many medical professionals, such as doctors, pharmacists, and nurses from the university hospital providing direct instruction through lectures and practical training.
Please come and study pharmacy at our university and practice team medicine.
Characteristics of learning

Learning beyond faculties and departments
Acquire medical communication skills
Before the summer vacation of the first year, students are divided into mixed-department groups and take part in an "Early Clinical Experience Training" at Hyogo Medical University Hospital. All students can visit and experience the facilities of the hospital wards and pharmacy department because the university hospital is attached to the group. In tutorial lessons (small group lessons) that also include School of Medicine students, students can practice communicating with other medical professionals, which is essential for "multi-professional collaboration."

The faculty members are experts in their fields.
Specialist
The faculty members are doctors who are involved in clinical practice at Hyogo Medical University Hospital, making it possible to provide cutting-edge, practical learning. In addition, our faculty members have a wide range of backgrounds, from practitioners such as hospital pharmacists and pharmacy pharmacists to researchers with corporate work experience. With a curriculum taught by specialists in each field, students can receive more specialized pharmaceutical education.

By Pharmaceutical Education Center
Detailed educational support
We have a wide range of support for learning and education, including an advisor system and Pharmaceutical Education Center. Pharmaceutical Education Center has full-time faculty and specialized administrative staff who provide comprehensive study support tailored to each student, such as preparation for the Pharmaceutical Common Examination and the National Pharmacist Examination, and supplementary lectures. We have created an environment where students can immediately ask questions and consult with faculty if they have any questions or concerns.
