Department of Physical Therapy
An advanced and rich learning environment that takes advantage of the scale advantages of Hyogo Medical University Group

Message from the Dean
In our Department of Physical Therapy, students not only acquire the knowledge and skills necessary in the clinical field, but also develop the ability to collaborate with others through active learning such as group work, to independently seek out new knowledge and skills, and to discover and disseminate new knowledge in the future.
Characteristics of learning

A chain of growth created by connections between seniors and juniors
Classes are small, with about 40 students per year, and incorporate a lot of group work. The connections between seniors and juniors are strong, and it is common to see seniors teaching juniors practical skills and studies. Department of Physical Therapy is characterized by an "environment where students can grow" by helping each other improve.

Learning from the Japan National Team Physio
Sports Physiotherapy
There are several sports physiotherapy specialists on staff, including those who serve as physios (trainers) for the Japanese national hockey team and attend international competitions such as the Olympics. There are also many valuable, immersive programs, such as special lectures by former Paralympic wheelchair tennis players.

Extensive training and research facilities
First-year students take part in early clinical experience training at Hyogo Medical University Hospital, where they will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of patients. In addition, the on-campus training facilities are equipped with the latest equipment used in clinical situations, allowing students to hone their knowledge and skills in an environment similar to that of an actual medical setting.
