School of Rehabilitation-Department of Occupational Therapy
Department of Occupational Therapy
An advanced and rich learning environment that takes advantage of the scale advantages of Hyogo Medical University Group

Message from the Dean
Our Department of Occupational Therapy provides an environment where students can learn early clinical training and interprofessional collaboration. In addition, we focus on practical learning and education that emphasizes community contribution through opportunities to interact with local people. Join us and aim to become a specialist who supports the lives of those who need support.
Characteristics of learning

Learning with the local community
Occupational therapists are required to have the ability to apply occupational activities as a means of support and treatment. In the occupational activity studies practical training, students learn how to use tools and how to provide instruction, and then take on the challenge of mock instruction with the cooperation of local people, from children to the elderly. While building relationships with local people, students can also develop the communication skills necessary for occupational therapists.

A homely environment where you can learn from each other
Because of the small class size of about 40 students per grade, students from different grades can study together and practice their skills with others, which helps to increase motivation.

Extensive training and research facilities
First-year students take part in early clinical experience training at Hyogo Medical University Hospital, where they will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of patients. In addition, the school is closely linked to the Rehabilitation Center at Hyogo Medical University Sasayama Medical Center, providing students with a wide range of practical opportunities to acquire practical knowledge and culture.
