Animal Experimentation Committee
In the life science research conducted at Hyogo Medical University, there are times when animal testing is unavoidable. The Animal Experimentation Committee is responsible for monitoring whether the laboratory animals who sacrifice their precious lives for the welfare of humans are living in healthy conditions, whether research is being conducted appropriately in the spirit of animal welfare, and whether unnecessary pain is being inflicted on laboratory animals. In addition, through its advanced level of animal testing, Hyogo Medical University is also an institution that supports researchers who work day and night to save sick people and have published many excellent achievements.
Hyogo Medical University Animal Experimentation Committee makes every effort to ensure that animal experiments are conducted in accordance with the "Law on Welfare and Management of Animals," "Standards for the Care and Management of Laboratory Animals and the Relief of Pain," Hyogo Prefecture's "Animal Protection and Management Ordinance," and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Fundamental Guidelines for the Conduct of Animal Experiments, etc. in Research Institutions, etc."
