Pharmaceutical Common Examination (Explanation)
In the six-year pharmacy program, students will have 11 weeks of practical training at a hospital and a pharmacy in their fifth year, where they will learn how to dispense medicine and provide medication instructions under the guidance and supervision of a pharmacist. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that pharmacy students who do not have a license to be a pharmacist have acquired basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes to be able to enter clinical practice. For this reason, the Pharmacy Common Examination is a common exam held by all pharmacy universities and School of Pharmacy nationwide. The Common Examination consists of an objective exam (CBT: Computer-based Testing) that uses a computer to evaluate knowledge and problem-solving ability, and an objective structured clinical examination (OSCE: Objective Structured Clinical Examination) that evaluates skills and attitudes. The exam is held nationwide from late November to mid-March in the fourth year (including the retest period). Only students who pass this exam can take part in practical training in the fifth year.
