Student Education Support

Detailed and thorough support from before enrollment to after graduation

The School of Pharmacy provides continuous educational support to each and every student, from before enrollment through to after graduation. Our friendly and student-oriented faculty will provide you with attentive and thorough support.
One of the characteristics of our university is that students and faculty are close to each other, as there are many opportunities for communication.

1) Pre-enrollment support

Pre-enrollment education is provided to students who have passed the entrance exam and have been accepted into our university. Since elective subjects and class content vary depending on the high school from which they graduated, we support students by giving them assignments to improve their chemistry and calculation skills, and by providing feedback and corrections to their answers, in order to help them smoothly transition into classes after entering university.
A unique feature of this program is that students will meet at the university three to four times before enrollment, where faculty members will meet face-to-face to check on the progress of their assignments, and the program will provide an opportunity for students to communicate with each other and with current students. (*Due to the impact of COVID-19, this program may be changed to an online event.)
In this way, we not only provide support for your studies, but also a place where you can have a fun and comfortable student life.

2) Advisor system, class teacher system

In the lower grades, we have introduced an advisor system in which groups are made up of 3-4 students and one teacher. The advisor, a full-time teacher, meets with the group once a week to discuss academic and lifestyle issues, preventing students from feeling isolated after enrolling. In addition, we support students by submitting and correcting assignments and by holding conversations, so that they can develop independent study habits.

In parallel with the advisor system, we have a fixed class teacher system from the time of enrollment to graduation. There are four classes per year, and just like in high school, a head teacher and assistant teacher stay in charge of one class for six years, so we have a system in place that allows students to consult with us if they have any problems with their studies or daily life.

3) Laboratory assignment

In their fourth year, all students are assigned to a research lab. After being assigned, they spend more time in the lab, and many students use the lab not only for experiments and research, but also as a place to study on their own.
The professors in the lab who you interact with daily are not only there to guide you in your research, but are also there to help you with your national exam preparation and resolve any worries you may have in your daily life. If you have any problems, they are there to help you kindly.

Through these educational support measures, School of Pharmacy has established a support system to ensure that students can live a safe and meaningful student life.
