We have created a curriculum that emphasizes a deep understanding of the human beings who are the subject of nursing and the development of a foundation for practical nursing skills. We aim to foster a rich humanity that is rich in broad culture and ethics, to understand the role and function of nursing in the field of health care and welfare, and to develop practical nursing skills to support people's healthy lives.

A rich educational environment that combines knowledge, skills, attitudes and clinical knowledge

Nurses with outstanding nursing practice skills participate in the practical training Hyogo Medical University Hospital, Sasayama Medical Center, and other favorable educational facilities. This allows students to acquire the foundation for high-quality nursing practice skills that combines the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they have acquired at university with clinical knowledge.

A guidance system suited to the actual situation on the ground, possible only because we are a comprehensive medical university with a hospital

The instructors who will be teaching are people with extensive practical experience in the nursing profession. Based on the actual conditions of the hospital, approximately one instructor for every 10 students will provide detailed instruction. An audiovisual system is also installed so that students can clearly see the demonstrations by the instructors. In addition, students will be instructed to properly acquire basic attitudes and manners as nurses, such as how to behave and dress appropriately in an actual hospital.

A self-study support system to acquire solid nursing practice skills

In order to master nursing techniques, it is important to practice repeatedly until you are satisfied with them.
School of Nursing has a comprehensive system in place to support students' self-study.

Opening of the practice room and cooperation of teachers

The practice room is open from 7:30 to 20:00 so that students can practice independently during their free time or after school. Even outside of class hours, teachers are always on hand to provide guidance and check skills. Approximately 1,000 students participate each month, actively engaged in independent study.

Utilizing audiovisual systems

In order to master basic nursing skills, it is important to visualize the nursing skills in your mind. Videos on nursing skills are available to watch at any time in libraries, information processing training rooms, and on websites.

Learn while clearly imagining your future as a nursing practitioner

In a familiar clinical training environment, students can come into contact with nurses active in a variety of fields and the content of their practices, and from an early stage can carefully consider their own future as a nursing practitioner, such as "what kind of nurse, public health nurse or midwife do I want to be?" and "what kind of field do I want to work in in the future?"

Cultivating professional and practical roles in team medical care

Students from School of Nursing, School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, and School of Litigation will interact with each other and, through common lectures and exercises, will deepen their understanding of the specialties and roles of various professions in team medical care and develop their independence as nursing professionals.

For nurses, the hands are the tools that can communicate everything.
Nursing is about interacting with patients.
