Endowment Departments

This course is conducting research into the creation of a medical tourism system at our university. In today's globalized society, the number of people traveling abroad seeking high standards of medical care and examination technology is increasing, and there is a growing trend for patients to combine sightseeing with medical examinations and treatment. For this reason, there is a demand to promote research into medical tourism, and Department of Tourism Medicine Course was established at our university.

Our hospital has been actively accepting foreign patients for medical examinations for a long time. This course aims to utilize the know-how we have accumulated so far to provide advanced medical technology to foreign visitors to Japan.

The purpose of this course is to provide advanced medical services to foreigners who wish to receive advanced medical care, health checkups, and health promotion, to conduct research on medical tourism, and to contribute to the construction of an optimal medical tourism system through the results of this research and the training of human resources. It is expected that young researchers will acquire an international perspective and contribute to improving international exchange in medicine.

In addition to building a medical tourism system at our university through research on medical tourism with a focus on internationalization, one of our research themes is the development of international medical care in collaboration with Hyogo Prefecture's tourism resources.
