Department of Community-Based Gastroenterology

This course is a Hyogo Prefecture endowed course that was newly established in 2018. The rural areas of Hyogo Prefecture are experiencing aging and depopulation, and even in these areas, there is a need for appropriate responses to gastrointestinal symptoms. This course studies the state of gastrointestinal diseases in these areas.

Our main goal is to analyze issues related to gastrointestinal symptoms throughout Hyogo Prefecture, but considering the current state of national health issues, such as an increase in lifestyle-related diseases and the diversification of illnesses, as the population ages, we believe that medical care that takes regional characteristics into account is necessary in addition to treating illnesses.We believe that one of our important missions is to make proposals about future medical care in Hyogo Prefecture from the Department of Community Medicine.
