Department of Medical Health Science

Departments of Clinical Sciences (Clinical Science Program)

The Department Department of Medical Health Science was established in March 2022 and conducts research, education, and clinical practice on preventive medicine. Early detection and early treatment are essential for good disease outcomes, and in recent years, panel diagnosis of cancer genes at the "pre-disease" stage, the transition period between health and disease, has attracted attention, and social interest in this field has also increased. The clinical department, Hyogo Medical University Umeda Health Medicine Clinic, will open in October 2022 and will have two functions: a health checkup and medical examination department and various specialized outpatient care. By sharing medical information with the university hospital, we work closely with the university hospital to provide seamless and consistent medical care, from prevention to early detection and early treatment of cancer and lifestyle-related diseases. In addition to using the university hospital's advanced diagnostic technology and the latest knowledge to detect abnormalities in many diseases at the "pre-disease" stage, we also take steps to encourage workers to take care of themselves by providing comprehensive and daily support for the health of each office worker based on health checkup data. We also actively accept foreign medical examinations, with the aim of providing advanced medical technology to foreign visitors to Japan. In the research department, in collaboration with universities and companies, we collect and analyze pre-disease data obtained from health checkup recipients to develop a system for the early detection of solid cancers, conduct research on medical tourism targeting foreigners, and train young researchers.
