Industry-Government-Academia Collaboration

Collaborative Research

Joint research is a system in which our university and private companies conduct research together on an equal footing. There are two types of joint research: accepting researchers from private companies to conduct research at our university (see External Researchers), and sharing the research between our university and private companies.

Commissioned Research

Commissioned research is a system in which the University conducts research commissioned by private companies and other organizations and reports the results of the research to the client.

Confidentiality Agreement

It specifies how confidential information that is disclosed will be handled.

External Research Fellow

We accept people from private companies as external researchers. While belonging to a company, external researchers can conduct research with faculty and staff of our university and use our university's research facilities.
Those affiliated with private companies etc. will be required to pay a research fee (35,000 yen per month).

Departments of Industry-Academia Collaboration

It is possible to accept research funds and researchers from private companies and other organizations and establish new courses (the course name can also include the company name).
The University cooperates with private companies and other organizations to conduct research for a specific purpose on an ongoing basis for a certain period of time.
In principle, the duration of Departments of Industry-Academia Collaboration will be between two and five years.

University-based venture

The title of "University-Based Venture" will be awarded to businesses that are based on the results or technologies produced through education and research activities at Hyogo Medical University, and the program will actively contribute to the development of such businesses.
