Final results of the 2024 Physician Clinical Training Matching
On October 24, 2024, the final results of the "2024 Physician Clinical Training Matching" were announced.
This "training matching" is a system created by the Physician Clinical Training Matching Council to efficiently and transparently match trainees with training programs (medical institutions where they will be trained).
The editorial team of m3.com, a website exclusively for medical professionals, compiled data for each of the 81 main university hospitals nationwide (excluding the National Defense Medical College), and found that only 19 facilities had a 100% match rate (the ratio of matches to available positions), with our hospital also achieving a 100% match rate for our 55 available positions. In a comprehensive ranking based on available positions and available positions rate, our hospital tied for 5th place in the interim results, and tied for 1st place in the final results (4th in the nation for number of available positions), a dramatic improvement from last year's 22nd place. Our hospital also saw a record high of 232 people take the clinical training exam.
At our hospital, we place the utmost importance on providing detailed instruction to each and every trainee, and we will continue to strive to create an environment that allows for even better training in the future.
