Sasayama Medical Center received a letter of appreciation from the mayor of Tanba Sasayama for its response to the novel coronavirus.
On November 17, 2023, Tamba Sasayama City Mayor Takaaki Sakai visited Sasayama Medical Center and presented a letter of appreciation for the center's efforts to combat the novel coronavirus, including providing vaccinations and fever clinic services.
Since the spread of the new coronavirus began in 2020, Sasayama Medical Center has been providing fever outpatient care and admitting patients, and has been recognized as a key medical institution.
In addition, from April 2021, a consultation and consultation center for fever and other illnesses will be established in the Tamba region to provide consultation to residents in the event of a fever and to provide information on medical institutions.
A vaccination site was set up within the hospital to promote vaccination in the local area, and by October 2023, 17,880 people, including staff, had been vaccinated.
