School of Rehabilitation

Student Education Support

Supporting current students through connections with faculty and seniors

School of Rehabilitation is small, with each department having approximately 40 students per year, and the connections between students and faculty, and between upperclassmen and underclassmen, are very strong.
We provide thorough support for students' educational needs in a friendly atmosphere.

1) Homeroom classes and office hours

In School of Rehabilitation, each grade is assigned a homeroom teacher. There are 2-3 homeroom teachers for about 40 students in each grade, so the relationship between students and teachers is very close, and homeroom teachers are often the ones to talk to about worries and concerns about daily studies and life. From the second semester of the third year to the fourth year, students deepen their relationships with the teachers involved in their graduation research, and can receive academic guidance not only on research content, but also job support and national exam preparation.
In addition, there are office hours one day a week when students can consult with faculty about their studies, etc., and students can casually visit faculty members in their rooms.

2) Self-study room

The rehabilitation practice rooms, including M307 and 308, where practical subjects are taken, can be used by students for self-study when they are not in use for classes. When students use these practice rooms, faculty members are also present, and they are available to ask questions if they have any questions, providing a fulfilling self-study environment.

3) Interaction with seniors

Another feature of School of Rehabilitation is that seniors have many opportunities to teach juniors practical skills and studies. There is active interaction with students from different years, and it is common to see seniors answering questions from juniors during self-study or extracurricular activities.
In addition to current students, graduates working in clinical settings, as well as therapists and other clinicians, visit the university and provide explanations to current students based on the cases they are currently handling.

Through these educational support measures, School of Rehabilitation has established a support system to ensure that students can live a safe and meaningful student life.
