School of Rehabilitation
Message from the Dean, School of Medicine
Aim to become a new generation physical therapist or occupational therapist!

It is said that in the future, many robots will be introduced into rehabilitation sites, and that robots will take over much of the training. It is also said that in 2045, the singularity will arrive, when general-purpose AI will surpass human intelligence, and it will no longer be possible to demonstrate the significance of one's existence as a professional by simply possessing knowledge. In the photo below, I am wearing an upper limb training robot. Recently, such robots have been used to train the upper limbs and exercise the brain while enjoying games.
Under these circumstances, what qualities do future physical therapists and occupational therapists need? I would suggest the following two points.
① Delicate and reliable treatment techniques that are on par with robots and AI
2) Ability to flexibly use robots and AI
Our faculty supports students in acquiring these skills through classes and practical training on campus, including at the university hospital, as well as off-campus clinical training.
We have prepared a variety of programs that you cannot experience anywhere else, so we hope that you will study at our School of Rehabilitation and take flight as a new-generation physical therapist or occupational therapist.
