Our research focuses on signs and symptoms of abuse and addiction of drugs such as stimulants, opioids and hallucinogens. This includes research on behavioral analyses under acute drug overdose or repeated intakes; studies of pharmacotherapy on drug abuse; and research on pathophysiological association of drug effects with brain monoaminergic and histaminergic neuronal systems.

2. Research to predict the harmful effects of abused drugs
3. Research and the development of treatments for drug addiction
4. Research on structure-toxicity-activity relationship of controlled substances and their therapeutic drugs (including in silico technology)
