School of Pharmacy- Laboratory Introduction

Physiology

Biological Sciences

We elucidate the mechanism of pathogenesis in the nervous system, such as chronic intractable pain and ischemic neuropathy using molecular biological, electrophysiological, and behavioral pharmacological techniques. In addition, we also develop drug-based methods for the bioregulation and the search for seeds for clinical application.

The main research themes are as follows:
1. Elucidation of molecular mechanisms on chronic intractable pain and development of its treatments
2. Search for seeds against chronic intractable pain
3. Analysis of ischemic neuropathy and development of its treatments
4. Analysis of neurotransmission disorders and development of treatment for dementia
