Organic Chemistry

Organic and Medicinal Chemistry

Organic chemistry is essential for understanding the chemical properties of pharmaceuticals and the vital reactions. Our research group focuses on the development of new synthetic methodologies using the highly reactive and versatile species such as “radicals” and “strained molecules”. The controlled use of these unique species will open a new field of synthetic organic chemistry. We apply the newly developed methodologies to the synthesis of bioactive molecules with structural diversity and complexity.

Research Projects
1. Development of photocatalytic radical reactions
2. Development of multi-component reactions using strained molecules
3. Organic synthesis by microflow reactors
4. Synthesis of complex bioactive molecules
