School of Pharmacy- Laboratory Introduction
Immunobiology
Biological Sciences
Our laboratory has a long-standing interest in immunology, a fundamental discipline in medicine and pharmacy. We focus on basic and clinical research to understand the immune system and aim to contribute to developing effective treatments for cancer and immune-related diseases.
Our research combines molecular and cellular biology techniques with in vivo animal models. We also collaborate with researchers both inside and outside the university. Our current research themes include:
1. Regulation of anti-tumor immune checkpoints through innate immune signaling.
2. Malignant mesothelioma stem cell control and the development of new therapeutic approaches.
3. The impact of concomitant drug use on immune checkpoint therapy for malignancies.
Much information is available today, and developing a deeper understanding and self-confidence is more important than ever. Our laboratory focuses on building a solid scientific foundation and encouraging insights through careful observation and critical thinking. Through these efforts, we aim to prepare pharmaceutical professionals who can address social challenges in healthcare.
