School of Pharmacy- Laboratory Introduction

Hygienic science

Pharmaceutical Health Sciences

“Pharmaceutical health sciences” is the academic discipline that studies the relations of nourishment and health, food safety, the prevention of disease, and the toxicity of chemical substances for the purpose of contribution to the maintenance and the improvement of health and welfare.

Our research group executes the several projects in the field of hygienic science mainly based on chemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology.   Specifically, we focus on the study of bacterial drug-resistant mechanism, the development of novel microorganism control technology, screening for the new antifungal drugs and the elucidation of their action mechanisms. We aim at announcing the results of research in the specialized academic society and journal, furthermore returning the result to the general public.

Research Projects
1. Study of mechanisms of bacterial resistance to biocides
2. Development of novel microorganism control technology
3. Screening for new antifungal drugs
4. Elucidation of mechanisms of antifungal drugs
