A research group led by Lecturer Kozo Kataoka of the Department of Gastroenterological Surgery Division of Lower Gastrointestinal Surgery Hyogo Medical University (Chair of the Board of Trustees: Keiichiro Suzuki, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture) and Vice Director Takayuki Yoshino of Hospital East (Director: Toshihiko Doi, Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture) at the National Cancer Center Japan (President: Hitoshi Nakagama, Chuo Ward, Tokyo) confirmed that liquid biopsy is useful for determining whether to administer adjuvant therapy after surgery for colorectal cancer liver metastases in a subanalysis of cases undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer liver metastases, part of CIRCULATE-Japan, the world's largest prospective study.
