Started joint research with G-One Inc. to develop AI model for diagnostic support of inflammatory bowel disease
A group led by Shinichiro Niizaki, professor and chair of the Department of Gastroenterology Hyogo Medical University (located in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture; President: Keiichiro Suzuki), Assistant Professor Toshiyuki Sato, Professor and chair of the Department of Gastroenterological Surgery Hiroki Ikeuchi, and Lecturer Yuki Horio have begun joint research with G-One Inc. (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Keigo Mori) into AI technology aimed at supporting the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
This joint research is expected to support doctors' diagnoses by more accurately predicting disease states through AI-based image analysis.
Furthermore, the AI model developed through this joint research will not only contribute to improving the quality of life of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients, but also aim to help improve the accuracy of treatment selection.
