Overview of the Center for Social-Academic Collaboration and Research Promotion

The Center for Social-Academic Collaboration and Research Promotion was launched on April 1, 2022. In order to contribute to society at large through the creation of knowledge at our university and its return to society, we will promote research activities that form the basis of these, as well as share issues with society, including industry, local governments, and local communities, and promote collaboration between the university and society through educational and research activities such as joint research and lifelong education.

The Center for Academic-Industrial Collaboration and Research Promotion will carry out the above initiatives through two divisions: the "Industry-Academia Collaboration and Research Promotion Division" and the "Regional Collaboration and Lifelong Education Division."

Message from the Director

Hyogo Medical University College of Medicine Social-Academic Collaboration and Research Promotion Center will be established on April 1, 2022, and I will be serving as its first director. With the merger of Hyogo Medical University Medicine and Hyogo University of Health Sciences, the university will take a new step forward as a comprehensive medical university with four faculties: medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and rehabilitation science, and the center will start by uniting faculty members, research administrators, and administrative staff.

The center is being established to contribute to society at large by creating knowledge at the university and returning that knowledge to society. In addition to research activities that form the basis of knowledge creation, promoting collaborative activities with local governments, local communities, and businesses is becoming increasingly important as a university's mission. Specifically, the center will operate around the following three pillars:

  1. To contribute to improving the academic status of Hyogo Medical University of Medicine and to nurturing talented individuals who can play an active role internationally through the promotion of research activities.
  2. Promote collaboration with industry and academia to promote joint research with companies and other universities, and promote the creation, discovery, and management of intellectual property and its utilization for commercialization.
  3. Promoting lifelong education for local medical professionals and residents, and promoting collaborative activities with local governments and communities.

We would like to pool our wisdom and wisdom to play a part in Hyogo Hyogo Medical University 's slogan, "EMPOWER THE PEOPLE," for all students, faculty, and staff studying at Hyogo Medical University, as well as for industry, local government, and the local community. We would appreciate your support.
