University Introduction
Interprofessional Education (IPE)
By collaborating with the medical field through the affiliated university hospital, we aim to develop "strong medical professionals who can play an active role in the field."

Hyogo Medical University is a "comprehensive medical university" with four faculties: medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and rehabilitation, and is engaged in IPE (interprofessional education) that transcends the boundaries between faculties and professions.
Because Hyogo Medical University Hospital which boasts the largest number of hospital beds in Hyogo Prefecture, is under the same umbrella organization, "we are able to provide IPE in an environment close to a clinical setting, with lectures and instruction from medical professionals in the field enabling more practical learning and training.
In terms of employment, the strong employment pipeline of Hyogo Medical University Hospital provides an ideal environment for those aiming to become medical professionals. In addition, member hospitals of the "Hyogo Medical University Medicine Affiliated Hospitals Association," which has approximately 130 affiliated medical institutions in Hyogo and Osaka, participate in joint hospital information sessions for School of Rehabilitation, making it possible to take advantage of economies of scale to provide career support.
Based on the track record we have built up since 1972 in nurturing medical professionals, our mission is to continue to produce talented people who can thrive in the medical field.
In the field of medical care, which is becoming more advanced, interprofessional collaboration is becoming more and more important. At Hyogo Medical University, we provide many opportunities for students to learn about the work of other professions and to interact with students from other faculties through a gradual IPE (interprofessional education) program.
