Providing practical IPE (interprofessional education)

Interprofessional education (IPE), which transcends the boundaries of faculties, is gradually implemented from the first year.
We aim to develop human resources who can practice IPW (interprofessional collaboration) beyond the framework of traditional medical team by learning the perspectives of medicine, pharmacology, nursing, and rehabilitation in an environment similar to a clinical setting.

Unique curriculum to foster social skills as a medical professional

In accordance with the founding spirit of "contribution to the welfare of society," students from the early years of their studies repeatedly interact with patients, various medical professionals, and medical students. We aim to develop not only communication skills, but also rich social and ethical competencies.

Introduced team-based active learning from the first year

Team-Based Learning (TBL), in which students work independently on issues through discussions in small groups, is implemented. TBL is introduced mainly in joint undergraduate courses, such as the "Team Medicine Theory Exercise.

Education on "multidisciplinary pain treatment" through collaboration between four faculties

We have built a systematic system to teach "multidisciplinary pain care" through the collaboration of four faculties, from basic medicine and clinical pain to pharmacological effects of anesthetics, nursing care and rehabilitation. We develop medical professionals who understand pain and can treat it correctly.

Achieved a high national exam pass rate in all faculties

Graduates from March 2024 passed the national examination at 99.1% for doctors, 84.4% for pharmacists, 98.0% for nurses, 100% for public health nurses, 100% for midwives, 100% for physical therapists, and 97.7% for occupational therapists. All four faculties achieved high pass rates.
