Overview
The obstacles in the lives of people with higher brain dysfunction due to cerebrovascular accidents or traumatic brain injuries vary depending on the cause of the individual's illness/injury. These obstacles often cause problems not only for the individual, but also for their family and the support staff around them. Even after rehabilitation at a public medical institution is completed, difficulties in daily life remain, and ongoing support in real-life situations is required. To achieve this, ongoing follow-up at local businesses and welfare facilities is also necessary.
In this study, we will provide consultations on practical interventions and support methods in social life situations to people with higher brain dysfunction living in the community, their families, and supporters at facilities. The purpose is to clarify that this consultation is beneficial for the lives of the subjects and their families, and to develop a practical social life management program in the local community.
What's new?
To develop a practical social life support model that includes disability welfare and a comprehensive community care system for the social rehabilitation of people with acquired brain injury.
What are its advantages over other studies?
Providing consultations for individuals, their families, and caregivers on practical interventions and assistance methods suited to social life situations, including determining support content according to life stage, psychological support, and the introduction of self-management.
What problem does it help solve?
This has the potential to solve the problems that remain in the daily lives of people with acquired brain injuries after completing rehabilitation at a medical institution.

What do you expect from collaboration with companies?
Among those who have acquired brain injury, those who remain suffering from residual higher brain dysfunction suffer not only from a decline in elemental cognitive function, but also from fatigue, sleep disorders, mental and psychological disorders, and a decline in health literacy for managing their individual lives, which can cause many obstacles to leading a social life.
There are many different issues to be solved.
